Automated text sent from My Kaarma to the customer
An automated welcome text will be sent to every customer who opens an RO with a valid cell phone number in the DMS
It is best practice to bring awareness to the customer that they will receive a text from our system with a contact card for the My Kaarma number.
They can text and call this number for updates from you.
They can also opt out of these messages so it's important to explain to the guest what these messages are for.
Auto-text messaging & benefit explanation
If the CELL phone field of the DMS is populated with a valid, current customer mobile phone number, BEFORE opening their RO, the customer will receive a text message within 5 minutes of opening their RO from the Dealer/Kaarma number. “Thank you for bringing in your car. Use this # to call/text me directly.”
The Service Advisor should instruct the customer to save that phone number in their mobile phone as “Dealername Service”, and explain to the customer that they now have one extra way to reach them directly if they ever need to (no phone message trees, not the front desk, etc)….they can text the number back, or call the number back and the Service Advisor will immediately be notified on their computer screen who’s trying to reach them together with the text message or voice recording.
